A private full day from your Da Nang hotel Four Landmarks, One Car, Nobody Else In It

We collect you after breakfast and hand the day back at dusk. The Lady Buddha looking out over the bay from Son Tra, the Dragon Bridge, the cave-cut marble hills at Ngu Hanh Son, lunch — and then an hour west into the hills to My Son, where Cham kings raised brick towers to Shiva for nine hundred years and the jungle kept them.

The Shape of the Day

North first, then all the way south

These four places are strung across sixty kilometres in two different directions, and the order matters more than most itineraries admit. We run the day in one clean line: up the peninsula while the light is still soft, back through the city, down the coast to the marble hills, then west into the hills for the afternoon. No doubling back, no sitting in the middle of Da Nang at five o’clock.

A simplified map of the day’s route around Da Nang The route leaves a Da Nang hotel and runs north-east onto the Son Tra peninsula for the Lady Buddha, back south-west across the Han River to the Dragon Bridge, south down the coast to the Marble Mountains, on to lunch, and then west into the hills to My Son Sanctuary before returning to the hotel. The day, in order

The drive back to your hotel

Roughly 130 km of driving in total — all of it in your own car

Five Stops, In This Order

Tap a stop to find it on the map

Why this order, and not the other one. Son Tra is north-east of the city and My Son is fifty kilometres to the south-west, so any day that puts them the other way round drives the same road twice. Going north first also means the Lady Buddha before the coach parties, and My Son in the afternoon — when the tour buses have gone back to Hoi An and the light comes in low across the brick.

How the Day Runs

Ten hours, door to door

Times are the shape of a normal day, not a stopwatch. The car is yours, so if the cave is worth another twenty minutes you take another twenty minutes — we simply leave lunch a little later.

Pickup: your hotel lobby anywhere in Da Nang city, including My Khe, An Thuong, the Han riverfront and the Son Tra side.

Start: anywhere from 7am to 9:30am, on the half hour. 8am is the standard; the earlier you go the emptier My Son is and the cooler the climb at Ngu Hanh Son.

Driving: about 130 km all in. The longest single leg is the hour and a quarter out to My Son after lunch.

Finish: back at your hotel around 5:45pm, in time to shower before dinner.

08:00

Collected from your hotel

Your guide and driver meet you in the lobby. Straight out over the Han River and up onto the peninsula.

08:25 • about an hour

Linh Ung Pagoda & the Lady Buddha

The courtyard, the statue, the bonsai garden and the terrace looking back over the whole bay.

09:40 • fifteen minutes

The Dragon Bridge

A proper stop on the riverside, not a wave through the window. Your guide knows where the head lines up best.

10:20 • about ninety minutes

The Marble Mountains

Lift up the first stage, then Thuy Son on foot: the caves, the pagodas and both viewpoints over the coast.

12:15 • about an hour

Lunch

A local restaurant near the foot of the hills. Included — order what you like and we settle it.

13:20 • an hour and a quarter

West, into the hills

Out of the city, past rice fields and through the villages west of Da Nang. Air conditioning on, water in the door.

14:30 • about two hours

My Son Sanctuary

Electric shuttle in from the gate, then a guided walk through groups B, C and D, the museum and whatever the day’s dance performance schedule allows.

16:30

The drive back

The same hour and a quarter, in the other direction, with the light going gold over the fields.

17:45

Back at your hotel

Dropped at the door. Your guide will have a dinner suggestion for you before they go.

Four of these are the day. The other five are the driving, and on this route the driving is not a small part — which is exactly why it is worth doing in one car with one guide instead of three separate half-day tickets.

What the price covers

Included

  • Private air-conditioned car and driver for the whole day, hotel to hotel
  • Licensed English-speaking guide with you from the lobby, not met at a gate
  • Marble Mountains entrance plus the glass lift up the first stage
  • My Son entrance and the electric shuttle from the gate to the temples
  • Lunch at a local restaurant vegetarian arranged on request
  • Cold bottled water in the car topped up through the day
  • All fuel, tolls and parking nothing to settle on the day

Not included

  • Am Phu Cave a separate ticket at the Marble Mountains gate, if you want to go down it
  • Drinks beyond water beer, coffee and soft drinks with lunch
  • Pickup outside Da Nang city Hoi An and Ba Na are possible — ask and we will quote the difference honestly
  • Tips genuinely optional, and never expected
  • Travel insurance please arrange your own before you travel

Shoes you can climb in. Thuy Son is a real staircase and the cave floor is worn smooth. Trainers are perfect; flip-flops are not.

Shoulders and knees covered. Linh Ung is a working pagoda and My Son is a religious site. A light long-sleeve in the bag is enough.

The bridge breathes fire at night. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays around 9pm — a separate evening trip, and we will happily tell you where to stand.

What $80 actually buys, and why it is one number

One price, everything in it

$80

per person • minimum two people

≈ 2,000,000₫ per person

Travelling alone? A solo booking is $148 — the car, the driver and the guide run for one guest exactly as they would for six.

Check your date
  • Every entrance ticket for the day — the Marble Mountains with its lift, My Son with its shuttle. Nothing to buy at a gate.
  • Lunch, sitting down, in the price. Not a voucher and not a suggestion of somewhere you could eat.
  • A car that is yours from eight in the morning until you are back, with the fuel, the tolls and the parking already paid.
  • A licensed guide for ten hours — the single thing that turns My Son from a field of old brick into an afternoon you remember.
  • Nothing charged to enquire, and nothing charged to hold the date. You pay your guide on the day.

Good to Know

The questions we actually get asked

Genuinely private. The car, the driver and the guide are booked for your group and nobody else gets in. That is also why the minimum is two people and why a solo booking costs more than half of a pair — the day costs us the same either way.

You are very welcome, and the price is $148 for the day rather than $80. The whole vehicle, the driver and the guide run for you exactly as they would for a group of six, so a solo booking is charged at 1.85× the per-person rate. Everything else about the day is identical.

Really included. We stop at a local restaurant near the Marble Mountains, you eat a proper sit-down meal, and your guide settles the bill. Vegetarian is arranged at no extra cost if you say so in the booking form. Drinks other than water are the one thing you would pay for yourself.

The Marble Mountains is the physical part of the day: the lift takes you up the first stage, but the summit and the caves are stone steps after that, and some of them are steep and uneven. My Son is a flat walk of about a kilometre on paths. If steps are difficult, tell us in the notes — there is plenty to see at the lift level, and your guide will plan the visit around you rather than leaving you at the bottom.

Yes, and it is a common request — My Son is closer to Hoi An than it is to Da Nang. The $80 shown here is for a Da Nang city hotel, so send the request with your Hoi An hotel in the notes and we will come back with the honest difference for the extra driving. The same goes for Ba Na, Lang Co or an airport start.

No — and we would rather say so here than have you find out on the day. The fire and water show runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at about 9pm. This is a daytime tour, so we stop at the bridge in the morning for the photographs. Your guide will tell you exactly which side of the river to stand on if you want to walk back down after dinner.

Of course — it is your car. The order on this page is the one that wastes the least time on the road, but plenty of guests swap the Dragon Bridge for the Cham Museum, or drop Son Tra and spend longer at My Son. Tell us in the notes and we will say honestly whether it still fits in a day.

Children are very welcome and the day works well for them — the caves in particular. Put their ages in the notes when you send the request and we will come back with the child rate for that age; several of the tickets are free or reduced for young children and we pass that straight on rather than charging a flat family price.

The tour runs. Central Vietnam gets short heavy showers rather than all-day drizzle, the caves are indoors by definition, and having your own car parked at each gate is exactly when a private day pays for itself. If a genuine storm is forecast we will call you the evening before and offer to move the date instead.

Nothing now. Sending this form costs nothing and holds nothing — we reply, confirm the date and the price with you, and you pay your guide in cash on the day, in dong or dollars. We only ever confirm a booking from WhatsApp +84 336 515 830; please never send money to any other number that claims to be us.
